パラマウントとワーナー・ブラザースが新たに統合したDCユニバースで生き残るもの!

The DCU slate is officially unstable — and the new direction at DC Studios is reshaping everything James Gunn announced. With leadership changes, a tonal shift toward a more mythic, cinematic universe, and major projects now under review, the original DCU Chapter 1 slate is no longer guaranteed.

In this video, we break down every DCU project — Superman, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Lanterns, The Authority, Paradise Lost, Booster Gold, Swamp Thing, and more — and analyze which ones survive the reboot, which ones change under the new creative vision, and which ones are likely to be cut entirely.

If you’re following the future of the DC Universe, this is the most important moment since the reboot was announced. The merger fallout, the shift away from Gunn’s tone, and the push toward a more mythic DCU all point to a massive restructuring of the slate.
We cover:
• The new DCU direction and what it means for the reboot
• Which DCU projects fit the updated vision
• Which shows and movies are at risk
• How the Superman reboot affects the rest of Chapter 1
• What the new leadership wants the DC Universe to become

If you enjoy honest commentary, breakdowns, and deep dives into superhero movies, make sure to like, share, and subscribe. More DCU coverage coming soon.

  1. For the blue beetle part… bro nobody under 35 knows Ted Kord unless they’re a die hard comic book fan.. Jaime Reyes has been the most popular BB to date with a great storyline in young justice.. makes no sense for today to use Ted… that’s like using Alan Scott as your main modern day GL

  2. James Gunn's DCU is simply stupid. I don't want to watch anything where superheroes have been around for 300 years. It's just a lousy concept.

  3. Wasn’t there also a some more animated things announced sometime last year or maybe even before Superman? Seems like Mauler and the guys went over it on EFAP episode?

What i can faintly remember being announced from that was….

    DC Superpowers (?)
    My adventures with green lantern
    Deathstroke and Bane
    Starfire

And i think there were more but i say all this to say… is it not obvious Gunn doesn’t know what he’s doing? 😂

  4. Jimmy Olsen should be relegated to short ten to twelve minute episodes released for free on YouTube to help generate interest and (if there was an actual overarching plot) to add more texture to events taking place in the DC Universe. Similar to Hunt the Truth podcast preceding the release of Halo 5. Which was much better than the actual game.

I’m not expecting nor excited for any of these projects. Especially after hearing WB announcing another superfluous LoTR film with Steven Colbert. That has to be a April Fool’s Day joke. I expect more outgoing executives pooping in the foxhole before vacating it for the Paramount ones coming in to fix or cancel.

  5. Clayface, Booster Gold, Swampthing, wow! That's what you get when you employed someone who neither knows anything about the comics nor cares about them. However, I think Booster Gold is pretty much the only DC thing JG could actually pull off. If anyone even wanted that. I want the A-list heroes and A-list villains…not almost exclusively the quirky side characters.🤨

  6. The whole slate looked like sh!t back when Gunn presented it 3 years ago. But all the Gunntards and shills pretended like it was the best thing ever. 😂

  7. For the life of me, I can't understand why they didn't have Dynamic Duo as the detective series instead of Lanterns. You would have Dick working and training Jason in detective work. It would be grounded, would make more sense for them to be in a small town, both would also be trained by Batman so the action and mystery would be perfect, and even have some horror elements. And maybe even have one episode that could lead into the Clayface movie. Like, why didn't they go this route?

  8. I highly doubt we see any future Superman projects besides Supergirl which is already made. Paramount can still save millions by scrapping Man of Tomorrow.

  9. I feel bad for David Corenswet. He would have been absolutely perfect as Superman under the director of another person besides Gunn.

  10. DCEU is done, guys just need to move forward with their lives. GUNN has better comic writing and is doing way better than the previous universe of the DCEU. We had Superman as Batman, and we had a Batman who kills. Gunn is staying, let him cook like he did with Superman, Peacemaker. SUPERMAN is the face of the DCU, BATMAN is Second face, and Wonder Woman is third. If we can get the trinity in their own three movies and get a trilogies, before they meet up, that would give us time to build relationships with them more and then when they need to work together we see their bond.

  11. Supergirl’s “Truth, Justice, and Whatever” is middle finger poke in the eye to the vast majority of fans that wanted the Truth, Justice, and The American Way brought back. Pure contempt for the audience.
How does that usually work out?
